Oh it is the age old question, is it really worth the splurge? It is very important to know when to save and when to spend. It becomes so easy to not really think about what you are buying, then you end up wasting money. When it comes to dropping the bigger bills you need to think a lot more in terms of quality. If something will last you a very long time, and doesn't seem to go out of style then it could be worth the investment. It is hard to judge when is the right time to spend more money. In hopes that I can help you, I have created a list of the four items I think are truly worth the splurge!
Skincare is something that is often over looked by many women. It is extremely important. Most women spend most of their money on makeup. That is fine but, what most people don't realize is that the state of you skin directly affects how makeup looks and reacts on you. We spend so much time and money covering our imperfections when we can use great skincare to work on the texture and look of your skin to create a perfect base. With the perfect base, you can make almost any makeup look amazing!
Handbags are a great item to splurge on. If it is from a great designer that has fabulous quality products then you have a bag that can last you a lifetime. Now, if you are the kind of girl who changes handbags every week this might not be the best option. If you are the type to pick a neutral color reliable always in style handbag and stick with it, this is a great option! Most handbags you buy at a cheap price fall apart very easily. However, most designer bags come with a guarantee to replace certain parts of your bag due to natural wear and tear. One of my absolute favorites at the moment is the Givenchy Antigonia picture above. Beautiful and timeless!
Quality is key when it comes to spending a little bit more money. Jeans are a perfect example. You wear your jeans multiple times and multiple different ways. Finding jeans that will last a long time and won't fade or rip (in the wrong way) are very important. My two favorite brands of jeans are J Brand and Paige Denim.
Now if you live in California or Florida, this might not be the best option to splurge on. But if you live in a colder climate, it is very important to have a nice and reliable coat that truly keeps you warm. One of my favorite coats are pea coats. They are always in style, look great, and last a very long time. It important to really look for your perfect coat. Find something that is easy to throw on and go. A lot of cheaply made coats are extremely stiff and hard to move in. You want to be able to throw your coat over multiple layers, or just wear it by itself. Either way it is a must have for every girls wardrobe.
