Braids have been my "go to" hairstyle lately. I am obsessed! They are perfect for days when your hair isn't quite working with you the way you want! Some people believe braids are way too hard and time consuming but practice makes perfect. Once you get the few types of braids down, you can create any look in a flash! One big tip is the messier the better! Pulling at your braid a little to loosen it up will create that beautiful bohemian look. It will look so effortless. A lot of the braids seen below are just plain three strand braids but the way they are placed makes the looks so unique. You don't need to be an expert to create these looks. Just take an afternoon to play around with your hair a bit and in no time you find your look that you will constantly go to.
If you have been following me for a while, you know I am all about my lip gloss! But lately, I have been kind of obsessed with matte lips. I think it is so beautiful and almost velvet looking. It is going to be a huge trend this spring. I think it all started with the Kylie Jenner lip obsession, which I am totally on board with.... LOVE. Before applying matte lipstick, I would highly recommend using a few products to help moisturize your lips to prevent cracking when you apply the lipstick. Two of my favorite are the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub and the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. Below I have listed my top ten high end AND drugstore matte lip products. Enjoy! Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Lolita // NYX Matte Lip Cream in Bubblegum Pink
// Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Aubergine // Mac Cosmetics Lipstick in Velvet Teddy // Dose Of Colors Matte Lipstick in Merlot // Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick in Ravishing Rose // ColourPop Lippie To Go in Leather // OCC Lip Tar Matte in Lydia // Wet N Wild Megalast Lipstick in Sugar Plum Fairy // Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Damned
Gosh, I hate when this happens! I grow my hair out to a beautiful length, then I want to chop it all off! I feel like that happens to all of us. It is such a hard decision. Cut your hair and it could be wonderful and you could find the "new you". You could also cut your hair and not like it at all and miss your long flowing locks and have to either put up with it or hassle with extensions for the next year or so. It is a decision I am now facing. The hot summer months are coming up and I cant help but feel like it would be so much more enjoyable having light bouncy hair. I also am going through a lot in my life and wonder if this is the sort of change I need. Okay, we are getting deep here. I will stop now and just let the pictures below convince you to take some scissors to your long hair and rock something completely new and different. Short hair, Don't Care.
